This spell can not be soloed at 95. You'll need a party, perhaps an alliance to deal with the monsters in camp #1
Are special items are needed? Yes, sneak and invisible to get to camp.
There are Five Wurdalak in the J/K/L/M-7 area of the Bostaunieux Oubliette. Three in one room, two in the next. There are Seven high level hounds that can aggro with the three, and Six Bats with the pair. Both rooms are aggro traps, and will need to be cleared of all or most of the Bats and Hounds to be functional. It sucks.
It is possible to pull the targets to the halls outside the rooms, where here are fewer bats to deal with. But once again, it's not simple. Several people have reported that the small hall between the rooms at K-7 makes for a good camp once you clear the two bats that hang out in it. This simplifies pulls from both room.
You'll need aparty or alliance that can handle multiple level 97+ mobs. It's reported that with a good tank healer combo the mobs are doable, but more DD is a huge plus.
It is almost manditory to have a WHM with Cursna and to be well stocked with Holy Water thanks to the doom TP move. Also having a second tank is a huge plus when you need to sleep the main one who has been charmed and turned into a bat. So magic support folks are a help. BST and SMN have reported having very good results when there are 2 or more of them on these mobs. If added to a Tank, fights become much easier.
The fights with the Wurdalak are not simple. The mobs have very nasty TP moves, and are dangerous. They seem to gain Acc the longer fights go.
Located behind the hidden door at (G-10) on Map 3 of Castle Zvahl Keep (S). This mob can be fought for the spell. Getting to him is annoying, and his respawn is slowish. It makes the camp not great. He is also the only one there. But given other options, he's worth thinking about.
A solid exp like party should be able to handle him at 95.
